Brasero, ottimo software per la masterizzazione

Brasero, versione 0.6.1, (noto in precedenza con il nome "BonFire") è un software Open Source per la masterizzazione di CD/DVD per il desktop Gnome disponibile per il sistema operativo GNU/Linux.

Questo software è stato progettato per mettere a disposizione degli utenti del desktop enviroment Gnome un'applicazione semplice e completa per la masterizzazione dei propri CD e DVD.

In particolare grazie a questo software di masterizzazione è possibile creare CD/DVD dati, Audio CD, copiare CD/DVD e cancellare CD/DVD riscrivibili. Le funzionalità messe a disposizione da Brasero sono molte e tra le principali ricordiamo:

Verifica sull'integrità dei dischi
Supporto per la creazione di CD/DVD da immagine ISO

Brasero offre una buona localizzazione ed è tradotto in molte lingue tra cui anche l'italiano. Brasero è un software libero rilasciato sotto licenza GPL.

A differenza di K3b un'altro ottimo software Open Source per la masterizzazione, sviluppato dal team di Sebastian Trueg e distribuita sotto licenza GPL che consente la masterizzazione di CD e DVD per gli utenti GNU/Linux che utilizzano il Desktop Environment KDE, Brasero ha una perfetta visualizzazione e compatibilità con i caratteri (fonts) di Gnome (di solito in K3b sono troppo piccoli generalmente o troppo grandi).

Molte leggero, veloce e con una interfaccia magari spartana, ma chiarissima: Progetto Audio, Copia Disco, Progetto Dati, Masterizza Immagine.

Fa egregiamente il suo lavoro.

Installazione:

Feisty Fawn (Ubuntu 7.04): incluso nei repository, quindi installarlo è molto semplice: Applicazioni > Aggiungi / Rimuovi > Brasero
Gutsy Gibbon (Ubuntu 7.10): è installato con la nuova release, pronto per l'uso. Lo troviamo in: Applicazioni > Audio e Video > Brasero.

Brasero is a application to burn CD/DVD for the Gnome Desktop. It is designed to be as simple as possible and has some unique features to enable users to create their discs easily and quickly.
