And finally England lost the match by 189 runs. Mills took 4 wickets and England lost the match. D Vettori became the man of the match.


Fourth Day of Play :

New Zealand is in a bad stage in the Fourth day of the match. They are struggling at 147 for 8.

Ryan Sidebottom took hat-trick, and that bring New Zealand a bit on back foot. But still, at the end of the day’s play they were at 147 for the loss of 8 wickets, taking a lead of 269 runs. Hence, tomorrow morning is crucial for both the team. If England can take two wickets early then they might have a chance to win the match.

Third Day of Play :

And that is the end of the day third of the First test match between England and New Zealand, at Hamilton. England is now batting at 286 for the loss of six wickets. P Collingwood is there at 41 and Ambrose is batting at 23.

So finally day 2 is over. Day belonged to the lower order batsman of New Zealand team. Pitch is not so supportive to the bowler and England finished the day at 87 for two loss. Vaughan made 44 and Strauss 1.

Hence the first day of play belonged to New Zealand batsman, especially J How who missed his century . B McCullum’s quick fires has removed the pressure from the New Zealand team in dressing room. At the end of the day New Zealand is at 282 for the loss of 6 wickets. Finally L Taylor is not out at 54 along with D Vettori at 4, B McCullum scored 51 while S Fleming scored 41.
