The Pot is often referred to as the 'Frame' to the bonsai's 'Picture', Wronnng!!!. A bonsai is the bringing together of both in visual harmony.

Nell'odierna società materialistica si dimentica spesso che il bonsai ha un fondamento religioso e filosofico.
Comprendere questo aspetto del bonsai allarga ulteriormente la portata di tale passatempo.
Il bonsai, come l'ikebana (disposizione artistica dei fiori) è usato dai giapponesi per decorare il tokonoma che è una sorta di piccolo altare nella casa giapponese.

Watering: Elms prefer high humidity, vaporize often. In summer they need a lot of water but be sure to have a good drainage.
